8 October 2006 Laila travels to Calcutta, India to film a documentary for Save The Children. She will be exploring the Child Domestic Work situation there and see what the charity is doing to help children and families in this situation.

June 2006 Laila has finished filming Freebird which co-stars Phil Daniels (Quadrophenia), Geoff Bell (The Business) and Gary Stretch (Alexander). The film is to be released later this year.
